No doubt, organ donation is a noble endeavour, but be aware! Using organ donation, you can be literally taken for a ride as you intend to contribute back to the society!

How is it done? 

Well, fraudsters who are on the prowl, first duplicate the social media handles of genuine doctors. Using their accounts, they put up informative articles on organ donation like kidney donation and its importance. Once you go through them, you will be convinced about the details present, as also the urge to donate. They would also furnish a list of people who are in need of organ donation. Interestingly, it is not just organ donors who will be preyed upon, but even those seeking it!

How to prevent it? 

Once you come across articles or videos on the importance of organ donation in the name of established doctors, please get their names verified. 

Again, if you come across anything that you feel is an enticement, don’t fall for it. At the same time, be sure not to transfer money online in the name of organ donation. Lastly, always, inform the hospital of kidney rackets.
