More and more skeletons are tumbling out of the closet as investigations continue in Darshan’s arrest. It has now come to light that the shed in which Renukaswamy was murdered is a den of corruption and extortion.

Sources say that the shed is full of seized vehicles. The accused would confiscate such vehicles whose owners have defaulted on loan repayment. Later, even as the owners repaid the amount, the accused have not returned the vehicles.
As this comes to the notice of the police, they have now got in touch with RTO officials and are searching for the real owners so that the vehicles can be returned to them.
The case
Darshan and several others stand accused of murdering Renukaswamy, a pharmacy store owner in Chitradurga. Renukaswamy allegedly sent inappropriate messages to Pavitra Gowda, Darshan’s close associate, believing she was meddling in his life.
Renukaswamy was kidnapped, taken to a shed, and brutally beaten before being thrown against a wall. His body was later disposed of in a drain.
Darshan and others have now been sent to judicial custody. The court will take up a hearing seeking the shifting of the accused to a different jail so that they don’t get into clashes.
In this case, Pavitra Gowda is identified as A1, and Darshan as A2.
