  • Jaggesh urged unity, cautioning actors not to damage the film industry's reputation

As the Darshan case continues to dominate headlines in Karnataka, several high-profile figures have taken center stage. In a strong symbolic gesture, actor Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi shared a powerful message from the sacred Kamakhya Devi temple in Assam. Her post, “The more people try to bring you down, the more God will lift you up. May God bless you”, is being widely seen as a response to the mounting criticism against her husband.

Darshan, currently battling legal trouble, had earlier sought spiritual refuge at the Kamakhya temple following a stern warning from the Supreme Court. His bail verdict is expected next week. Vijayalakshmi’s appearance at the temple and her post have sparked emotional support from fans while drawing mixed reactions online.

Meanwhile, actress Ramya has taken legal action following alleged online harassment from Darshan’s fans. She filed a complaint against Darshan’s fans to the City Commissioner and expressed concern over the rising hostility, indicating a serious escalation in the controversy. Ramya's move adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing saga.

In another development, an FIR has been registered in Doddaballapura Rural Police Station after actor Pratham reported receiving death threats. A rowdy-sheeter known as "Bakery Raghu" has been named in the case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, further intensifying the legal dimensions of the issue.

Veteran actor Jaggesh weighed in on the matter with a subtle yet firm social media post, urging artists to protect the integrity of the Kannada film industry. Without naming anyone, he remarked, “Don’t ruin the name of an 80-year-old industry. No one grows with just likes and promotions. Let us remain united.”
