Kannada actor Darshan has returned to Bengaluru at a crucial time, as the legal proceedings in the Renukaswamy murder case reach a decisive stage. The Supreme Court recently wrapped up hearings on a petition filed by the Karnataka government challenging the bail granted to Darshan and six others in the case. Darshan, who had traveled to Thailand for the shoot of his upcoming movie Devil, landed at Kempegowda International Airport around 11:45 PM. He was accompanied by his wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan and actor Dhanveer, and the trio headed home shortly after their arrival.
Earlier, the Karnataka High Court had granted bail to seven individuals linked to the high-profile murder case. Those named include actress Pavithra Gowda (A1), Darshan (A2), Pradeep (A14), Lakshman (A12), Nagaraj (A11), Anukumar (A7), and Jagadeesh (A6). However, the state government contested this decision and escalated the matter to the Supreme Court.
With the apex court now having reserved its judgment, the coming week is expected to be critical for Darshan and the others involved. The outcome will determine whether they can continue on bail or face renewed judicial custody, adding to the ongoing tension surrounding the case.
