Darshan’s friend’s daughter emerges as winner of first season of ‘Mahanati’

Priyank Achar has emerged as the winner of the ‘Mahanati’ reality show. The show that had engaged the audience for a period of 3 months has finally come to an end. Priyank Achar who hails from Mysuru was hailed as the winner of the first season. Dhanyashree hailing from the Tarikere town in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka was declared as the runner-up of the show. 

It is being reported that Sandalwood actor Darshan, also referred to as the Challenging Star, wished Priyank. Darshan is said to be the classmate of Priyank’s father. Priyank talked about this in a previous episode. “Darshan sir was my friend. He wished me upon getting informed about my selection for Mahanati. He called me up. I was very happy,” she said. Director Tharun Sudhir also talked about this. “I had met him just one week back. He however did not provide me any information regarding this,” Tharun said.

Priyank was provided a golden crown worth Rs 15 lakh. Dhanyashree received a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh. Gagan hailing from Chitradurga, Aradhna Bhatt and Shwetha Bhatt who finished in the third, fourth and fifth spot respectively earned a prize money of Rs 1 lakh.
