The superhero blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine continues to make waves at the box office, with its global earnings surpassing Rs 4,000 crore and its Indian collections nearing the Rs 80 crore mark. The film, starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, has captivated audiences worldwide.

Despite a robust weekend, the film's momentum has slowed at the Indian box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Deadpool and Wolverine garnered Rs 6.25 crore on its fifth day, bringing its total Indian earnings to Rs 78.95 crore. The film saw a 13.55% occupancy rate in English-language screenings.
The superhero drama is projected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India over the upcoming weekend, offering a much-needed boost to Indian theatres. This year, only a few films, such as Hrithik Roshan's Fighter, Prabhas's Kalki 2898 AD, and the Mona Singh-Sharvari Wagh starrer Munjya, have managed to draw significant crowds.
Globally, the film's success is even more pronounced. As per a Deadline report, Deadpool and Wolverine had earned $496.3 million (Rs 4,154 crore) by Monday. With Tuesday and Wednesday's earnings, the film is poised to surpass the $500 million mark, solidifying its status as a major box office hit.
In India, Deadpool and Wolverine is on track to achieve one of the best opening week performances for a Hollywood release, potentially surpassing last year’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which earned Rs 83.45 crore in its first week.
