  • After Rashmika and others, Alia Bhatt now targeted
  • Deepfake becoming a big menace now!
  • Govt of India has issued strict warning

Even as the nation is yet to recuperate from the deepfake videos of Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kafi, it is Alia Bhatt who is in the firing line!

The face of the lady in the video has been morphed with that of Alia Bhatt. However, many have pointed out that the manipulation is easily detectable.

All hell broke loose when the manipulated video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral. Industry honchos like Amitabh Bachchan themselves aired their grievance over the incident, forcing the Union IT minister (of state) to issue a clarification.

On his part, the Rajeev Chandrasekhar asserted that deepfake was a big problem the country is facing and that the perpetrators would be punished suitably.

The matter has also caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has not hesitated from calling it a big nuisance.

Deepfake is a technology in which digital tools are used to manipulate videos and audios to suit a particular agenda.

In the case of Rashmika Mandanna, an FIR was also lodged by the Delhi Police over the incident. A Bihari youth has also been summoned for questioning as it was his account that was used to upload the video.

The quicker we arrest the menace, the better.
