Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone are expecting their first child in September 2024. They jointly made an announcement in this regard on the social media platform Instagram. Speculations of Deepika Padukone’s pregnancy were making rounds ever since the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) when a visible bump that could possibly indicate pregnancy was observed.
The couple had gotten married in 2018, 5 years after they started dating. An old interview of Deepika Padukone with Vogue has resurfaced wherein she had shared her thoughts pertaining to pregnancy. “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family. When I meet the people I have grown up with—my aunts, uncles, family friends—they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing. In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children,” Deepika had said when asked about being a parent.
