Deepika Padukone is sizzling as Lady Singham in first look poster

Deepika Padukone would feature in Singham Again as Shakti Shetty. This is the first female addition to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe which otherwise consists of Bajirao Singham played by Ajay Devgan, Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao played by Ranveer Singh and Veer "Surya" Sooryavanshi played by Akshay Kumar. 

Rohit Shetty unveiled the first look of Deepika Padukone with the caption “NAARI SITA KA BHI ROOP HAI AUR DURGA KA BHI(A woman can take the form of Goddess Sita or Goddess Durga as well) . MEET THE MOST BRUTAL AND VIOLENT OFFICER OF OUR COP UNIVERSE SHAKTI SHETTY MY LADY SINGHAM DEEPIKA PADUKONE (sic).” Rohit Shetty claimed that he had questioned umpteen number of times about the lack of a female supercop in his cop universe and that he saw in Deepika Padukone the potential to carry forward this role.  Akshay Kumar had also shared the first look on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Singham again would be the third instalment of the Singham franchise. The first instalment was a remake of the Tamil film Singham starring Suriya with a modified ending. The second instalment however divulged from there. The Tamil franchise “Singham” also has 3 instalments.
