Chosen from a large pool of international nominations, the honourees were finalized in a selection meeting held on June 20 and approved by the board of directors. Peter Roth, chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said the recognition celebrates individuals who have significantly impacted the world of entertainment.

Deepika’s selection is a testament to her growing global influence, which stretches beyond acting. Over the years, she has been a powerful voice for mental health awareness and has been featured in TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people list. In 2022, she unveiled the FIFA World Cup trophy in Qatar, further reinforcing her international recognition.

Deepika has also made waves in the global fashion industry. She is the first Indian ambassador for luxury brands like Cartier and Louis Vuitton, breaking barriers for Indian representation on global red carpets.

Despite her global stature, Deepika remains one of the leading and highest-paid actresses in India. She is currently taking a short break to embrace motherhood, but has multiple major projects lined up, including a collaboration with director Atlee.
