Delhi: Man quits job on day 1 owing to travelling conundrum

A reddit post has now gone viral wherein a man has expressed that he had quit his job on day one as he had to travel from Northwest Delhi to Moulsari Avenue in Gurgaon for the job. He figured out that going to his workplace, doing the job and heading back home would leave him with just 3 hours to himself. He also assumed that the cost for travelling would amount to Rs 5000. He was not willing to relocate for the job considering the expenses that come along with it. Hence he made a decision to close curtains on the opportunity right on day 1. 

The internet was divided about this decision. Many explained to him that this routine was standard for the salaried class, especially for people in Delhi starting their career. Some recommended books and Coursera to make productive use of the time. However others stressed on the fact that prioritising one’s health is also crucial. 

The person who made the post eventually deemed it a mistake on his end and that he would not take such impulsive decisions in the future. This was his first job and he was not aware of certain nitty-gritty as he has claimed to be an introvert.
