Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested Zoya Begum Khan, wife of gangster Hashim Baba, in connection with a drug case. Acting on a tip-off, officers apprehended her in Northeast Delhi’s Welcome area while she was allegedly supplying heroin.
For years, Zoya operated under the radar, running her husband’s illegal businesses. However, on Thursday, law enforcement finally caught her with 270 grams of heroin worth approximately ₹1 crore. Special Cell ACP Sanjay Dutt and Inspector Sandeep Dabas led the operation, successfully trapping her.

Zoya took charge of Baba’s operations after he was jailed in Tihar last year for the murder of gym owner Nadir Shah. Police revealed she sourced drugs from Muzaffarnagar for further distribution.
Despite her criminal ties, Zoya maintained a high-profile lifestyle, attending lavish parties and flaunting expensive brands on social media. She frequently visited Baba in Tihar, where he reportedly trained her in coded communication and gang operations.
Zoya’s family also has a history of crime—her mother was jailed in 2024 for running a sex trafficking ring, while her father was linked to drug networks. She operated from multiple locations in North East Delhi, protected by armed henchmen.
Authorities are also probing her alleged links to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, with whom Baba maintained contact despite being in separate jails. The investigation is ongoing.
