Koratala Siva’s highly anticipated film Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, is set for release on September 27. In a move that is sure to boost its box office performance, the Telangana government has granted permission for additional shows and increased ticket prices for the film.

On Monday, the government issued a GO approving an extra show at 1 a.m. on the release day in 29 theatres, alongside allowing a ₹100 ticket price hike. Six shows will be screened on opening day, beginning at 4 a.m., with the same ticket price increase. From September 28 to October 6, five shows will be permitted daily, with tickets rising by ₹25 in single screens and ₹50 in multiplexes.

Expressing his gratitude, Jr NTR took to X (formerly Twitter), thanking Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for their support of Telugu cinema. His brother, Kalyanram, echoed his sentiments.

This announcement follows similar measures taken by the Andhra Pradesh government, which Jr NTR also acknowledged, thanking Pawan Kalyan and other officials.

Recently, a pre-release event for the film in Hyderabad was canceled due to an overwhelming crowd. Despite the disappointment, Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor expressed their appreciation for fans’ enthusiasm.

Devara: Part 1 marks Jr NTR's first solo release in six years and is Saif and Janhvi’s debut in Telugu cinema.
