Despite the strong opening, Devara still trails behind other recent blockbusters. Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, a science fiction epic co-starring Deepika Padukone, amassed ₹298.5 crore in two days. Additionally, Prabhas’ 2023 release Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire also outperformed Devara, with ₹295.7 crore during its opening.
Devara: Part 1 marks Jr NTR’s first solo release in six years, following 2018’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. Jr NTR, who was last seen in the globally acclaimed RRR, took to social media to express his gratitude to fans and the film’s team.
The film features a star-studded cast including Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, and more, and is receiving mixed reviews, with critics praising Jr NTR’s performance but noting gaps in the script.
