  • Engineering student Devatha died in a road accident in Bangalore
  • Poor visibility and sudden imbalance caused her to fall before being hit by a car
  • CCTV footage confirmed the sequence; parents mourn their only child

Bangalore’s chaotic traffic has once again turned fatal, reminding everyone of the fragile safety on its busy roads. In a tragic accident that took place four days ago, a 24-year-old engineering student named Devatha lost her life in a horrifying collision that was captured on CCTV.

The accident occurred while Devatha was riding her scooter. As she passed through a section of the road partially obscured by a banner, a car from the opposite direction veered slightly to the side, possibly due to blocked visibility. At that critical moment, Devatha appears to have lost control of her two-wheeler and fell onto the road. Within seconds, the car ran over her.

Unfortunately, the helmet she was wearing got dislodged during the fall, resulting in a fatal head injury. Devatha died on the spot, leaving her family shattered. Her parents, devastated by the sudden loss of their only daughter, are struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.

According to her relatives, the obstruction caused by the roadside banner forced the car driver to steer slightly out of his lane, which in turn contributed to the chain of events leading to the accident. While some accounts suggest Devatha lost balance on her own, CCTV footage confirms her fall occurred just moments before the impact.

This incident is yet another reminder of the dangers lurking on Bangalore's roads, where poor road planning, visibility issues, and heavy traffic continue to take young lives far too often.
