This follows critical information provided by an anonymous complainant who had claimed that body was buried in the area. The complainant, who had earlier submitted a formal statement, was brought to the scene under heavy security with his identity concealed. He reportedly pointed out a specific location, which is now being closely examined by investigators.
The SIT had questioned the complainant for over six hours across two days at their office in Mallikatte, Mangaluru. He had travelled from Kerala to be present for the inquiry, arriving with legal counsel and expressing readiness to assist. Officials say the statements given have led to this on-ground verification.
Senior officers Jitendra Dayama and Anucheth were present during the intense interrogation sessions. The entire investigation is now focused on locating possible human remains based on the anonymous tip.
