Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has been receiving praise for performance in Heeramandi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali that released on Netflix. She also featured alongside Jaideep Ahalwat in one of the four segments of Karan Johar’s LustStories which too premiered on Netflix. In a recent interview with Masala, she recounted her hesitation in shooting intimate scenes. “I thought he would not be able to get around that problem. I very frankly told Dibakar that I’ve had some bad experiences with on-screen intimacy in the past. I thought he would not be able to get around that problem. I am a little conservative in my approach. I was unsure if I would be a fit. I told Dibakar you might need a bolder person. I had seen and loved his short in Bombay Talkies. I knew he would make something sensible… At every step he was careful. He has been sensitive and respectful,” she said.

Manisha heaped praises on Dibakar. The segment of Lust Stories directed by him was one of the most critically acclaimed among the entire series. “I was deeply impressed by Dibakar’s open-minded responsive attitude. I had my reservations about the love-making scenes. He listens to everyone, not just actors but also the crew. He narrated the film to me on Skype as I was in Nepal,” Manisha remarked.
