2 men wearing jeans had jumped from the visitor’s gallery onto the floor while the session was ongoing. The two started shouting slogans. They had a can at their disposal which they used to spray a yellow gas. Yellow gas was also sprayed outside the parliament as well.
Member of Parliament (MP) from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Danish Ali has alleged that one of the attackers had a guest pass issued by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from the Mysuru district Pratap Simha. One of the attackers has been identified as Manorajan, a Kannadiga from Mysore. Manoranjan’s father Devaraj speaking exclusively to NewsFirst stated that he is a gem of a child and did not have any vices. He stated that he only had good intentions but went to Delhi against his advice.
Another accused in the attack, Neelam stated in a media interaction during her exit that they are not affiliated to any organisation. She stated that they felt a need to demonstrate in this fashion as the government is unresponsive. She also indicated that she is unemployed presently.
