The shooting for Uttarakanda starring Sandalwood actors Shiva Rajkumar and Dolly Dhananjay has begun. The anticipation among fans for this movie is at an all time high. The shooting is taking place in and around the Vijayapura district. 

The production house undertaking the project has been releasing names that are part of the ensemble cast. On-board posts are being shared. 2 days back, information pertaining to the role played by Sandalwood actress, Chaitra Achar, who gained fame through her performance in the Rakshit Shetty starrer Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, was released. Now, information pertaining to Sandalwood actor Diganth has also been given. Diganth will be playing a character named Mallige who is addicted to Gutka (betel nut). Digant hasn’t been seen in this rustic avatar before.

Mollywood actor Vijay Babu also has an important part to play in this film. These developments have infused a sense of enthusiasm among fans eagerly awaiting its release. 

The film being directed by Rohit Padaki is touted to be an action thriller. It is being produced by the KRG Studios. Charan Raj would be handling the music department. Aravind S Kashyap would be the cinematographer for the film. Deepu S Kumar would be the editor for the film.
