Bollywood actress and filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar has openly criticized Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, accusing them of copying her film Savi and using derogatory language amid the controversy surrounding the film Jigra.
The dispute gained attention after the release of Jigra, co-produced by Johar and starring Bhatt, with Khosla claiming the film bore striking similarities to her own project, Savi, which was released earlier.

Khosla took to social media to voice her frustration, alleging that Jigra’s plot closely resembled Savi. She emphasized that her film had entered production first but was overshadowed by Johar’s clout and Bhatt’s star power. Khosla also accused the Jigra makers of inflating box office numbers, posting an image of an empty theatre to support her claims.
Adding to the controversy, Khosla alleged that Johar dismissed her concerns with derogatory language, reportedly calling her a “fool” for raising the issue. In a statement, she questioned whether it was right to belittle a woman for pointing out unethical practices.
Khosla also criticized Bhatt for staying silent and benefiting from the alleged manipulation. Johar’s response came in the form of a cryptic social media post, which many interpreted as directed at Khosla. The heated exchange has stirred discussions about ethics in Bollywood and industry power dynamics.
