Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar has responded to allegations by the Former Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy pertaining to his role in the spread of Prajwal Revana’s video. “Kumaraswamy cannot sleep or have food without taking my name. I do not indulge in such cheap activities. I have the Bengaluru Kempegowda blood in me. The dignity of close to 200 women is important to me. HD Revanna has admitted that the incidents are 4-5 years old. Who sent Prajwal Revanna abroad? The call records pertaining to this ought to be recovered. Devaraje Gowda had written a letter to BJP leaders,” DK Shivakumar said.

DK Shivakumar characterised the expulsion of Prajwal Revanna as an eye wash. “Why is HD Kumaraswamy slipping? What does HD stand for? Haradanahalli Devegowda. How can you say your family is different from HD Revanna’s family? He has justified giving the ticket to Prajwal despite opposition by the BJP due to his father’s compulsion,” DK Shivakumar added. 

DK Shivakumar also questioned the silence of the BJP over these allegations. DK Shivakumar responded to HD Kumaraswamy’s statement that a demonstration should be organised outside his house by questioning him over the delay for announcing the same.
