The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former Congress MP D.K. Suresh for questioning in connection with the multi-crore fraud case involving Aishwarya Gowda. The case revolves around allegations of cheating a person out of gold ornaments worth several crores of rupees.

The ED issued the summons after gathering statements from Aishwarya Gowda and witnesses, suggesting possible financial links between her and D.K. Suresh. Officials reportedly visited Suresh’s residence to deliver the notice but were unable to meet him in person. His personal assistant accepted the summons on his behalf after declining to have it pasted at the premises.

Addressing the media, D.K. Suresh clarified he has no business relationship with Aishwarya Gowda. “It’s true I attended a few events where she was present. However, I have lodged a complaint against her for falsely claiming to be my sister,” he said. Suresh added he would appear before the ED on Monday instead of the scheduled Thursday, citing prior commitments.

DK Suresh’s brother, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, has also issued a formal comment on the developments and said that they would fully cooperate with the ED in their investigation.

The case continues to raise political ripples, as investigators probe the nature of alleged financial transactions and the extent of Suresh’s involvement in the fraud.
