In a surprising move, US President Donald Trump has stepped into the world of consumer technology with the launch of a new smartphone named ‘Trump Mobile’. Developed by The Trump Organization, the device, officially titled T1 Phone is aimed at directly competing with Apple’s iPhone lineup.

Marketed with the slogan “Made in America”, the Trump Mobile appears to be a patriotic alternative targeting American-brand loyalists. The device is already available for pre-booking in the United States, with a full-scale market launch expected in the next six months.

The T1 Phone is priced at $499 (approximately Rs 42,911 in Indian currency). If introduced in India, import duties could significantly increase the retail cost. With a 25% tax, the phone may cost around Rs 53,600, while a 50% import duty could push the price to over Rs 64,000.

While detailed specifications of the phone remain undisclosed, the Trump Mobile will reportedly be available in gold color, hinting at a premium design. Tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the full reveal of features, especially with Apple’s iPhone 17 set to launch in September. Given India’s massive smartphone market, speculation is rising that Trump Mobile could enter the Indian market soon to challenge Apple’s dominance.
