'Abhyaas' provides dry ration and dignity kits
Renowned Doctor Sowjanya Vasista has inspired people by undertaking an initiative for a social cause. She has incurred personal expenses to arrange for groceries and clothes for people belonging to underprivileged communities. “For most of us, the idea of winter means sipping a hot cup of coffee while cuddling our warm blankets. But for those on the streets, every drop in the temperatures is a fight for their survival,” Sowjanya mentioned in a post on the social media website Instagram.

Sowjanya has taken up similar initiatives in the past as well. She arranged for footwear for children coming from socially and economically backward backgrounds. Currently, she has taken up the challenge to provide blankets to underprivileged people in order to help them survive the winter. “Every winter,our organisation Abhyaas, which is an after school program for kids runs Blanket Donation Campaign. We provide quality warm blankets along with dry ration and dignity kits to the underprivileged, living on the open on the streets. We try our best to reach out to people around us. I request you to donate your old/new blankets to the needy people out there directly . Let us make the world a better place. Let us spread love,” her Instagram post added.
