Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra launches new perfume named ‘Divorce’ after her divorce

Dubai's Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum has announced the launch of her latest perfume line, aptly named "Divorce," under her Mahra M1 brand.

The 30-year-old princess, daughter of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, unveiled a teaser on Instagram this Monday, showcasing the sleek black bottle engraved with the word "Divorce." The dramatic teaser video featured imagery such as broken glass, black petals, and a black panther, symbolizing a bold new chapter.

This launch follows weeks after Sheikha Mahra made headlines for her public divorce from Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, an Emirati businessman. In an Instagram post in July 2024, she wrote, "Dear husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce... Take care. Your ex-wife." This dramatic announcement, using the traditional Islamic triple talaq, came just two months after the couple welcomed their first child.

Sheikha Mahra’s latest business venture adds to her growing portfolio. Known for her presence on social media, she regularly engages with her 9.8 lakh Instagram followers, sharing glimpses into her life and ventures.

Sheikha Mahra is one of Sheikh Mohammed's 26 children and the daughter of Zoe Grigorakos, a Greek national. The Dubai ruler’s fortune is estimated between $14 and $18 billion, placing him among the world’s wealthiest royals.
