Dunki to release on Christmas; ‘I think of national integration’ says Shah Rukh Khan

The Rajumar Hirani directorial starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan titled “Dunki” would have a Christmas release. The film would deal with the theme of illegal immigration to countries such as Canada and the United States of America. Similar to Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani would also be making a return to the big screens after a period of 5 years. All of the films directed by him have been successful in the box office and Shah Rukh too has been having a dream run with 2 back-to-back blockbusters, Pathan and Jawan. 

The film also stars Tapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Satish Shah. Dharmendra and Vicky Kaushal would be making a guest appearance. 

  “We started with January 26 (Pathaan), it was a good auspicious day. Then Janmashtami, on the occasion of Krishna ji’s birthday we released this film (Jawan). Now there is the New year, Christmas. We will bring Dunki at that time. I think of national integration. Jis din meri film release hoti hai, uss din Eid hota hai. (And whenever my film is released, it’s Eid anyway). I’m working harder than I worked in the last 29 years. I will keep working hard because now I’m the happiest when people get happy after watching the film,” said Shah Rukh Khan, at the success party of Jawan.
