A new initiative aimed at strengthening environmental education among schoolchildren was launched on Monday at the Government Primary School in Doddakallasandra, near Kanakapura Road. This innovative classroom-on-wheels will travel across Karnataka, reaching up to 10,000 students in the coming months. Designed to deliver immersive and engaging learning experiences, the vehicle incorporates storytelling techniques and art-based activities to connect children with nature. Its curriculum includes topics such as wildlife conflict mitigation, biodiversity conservation, climate change and its local effects, snake awareness and first aid, and water resource management.

Eco-Savaari is equipped with retractable display boards, audio-visual learning systems, educational models, and eco-kits for hands-on activities. The vehicle will visit 300 schools, including those in rural and forest-fringe areas, ensuring widespread access to environmental education.

The launch event was flagged off by actor Pranitha Subhash and marked a significant step in promoting conservation values at the grassroots level. The project aligns with broader goals of fostering environmental responsibility in young minds by bringing science and ecology directly into their learning spaces.

Eco-Savaari reflects a growing effort to integrate experiential learning with sustainability, building awareness and action among the next generation to safeguard Karnataka’s rich natural heritage.
