Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has predicted the defeat of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the upcoming federal election, slated for no later than October 2025. Responding on X (formerly Twitter) to a user's plea for his help in “getting rid of Trudeau,” Musk posted, “He will be gone in the upcoming election.”

The exchange unfolded after a Swedish journalist reported on the collapse of Germany’s three-party coalition government, prompting Musk to call German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a “fool.” This led a user to request Musk’s intervention in Canadian politics.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has previously criticized Trudeau’s government, accusing it of suppressing free speech. He condemned Canada’s decision last year to require online streaming services to register for regulatory controls, calling it “shameful.”

In February 2022, Musk made headlines when he likened Trudeau to Adolf Hitler after the Prime Minister invoked emergency powers to counter trucker protests against COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Musk shared and later deleted a meme featuring Hitler, which stated, “Stop comparing me to Justin Trudeau” with the caption “I had a budget.”
Musk’s critical comments highlight his ongoing discontent with Trudeau’s leadership, further fueling political debates in Canada as the country approaches its next election.
