Bengaluru-based solar photovoltaic panel manufacturer Emmvee Group has announced plans to establish a ₹15,000 crore manufacturing facility in the city, creating 10,000 jobs.
Reportedly, according to Karnataka Industries Minister M.B. Patil, the investment will be executed in phases, with an initial ₹5,000 crore allocated for a 5GW power generation facility. The company has sought 120 acres of land in Bengaluru’s IT Investment Region (ITIR), located beyond Kempegowda International Airport. The government is evaluating the request.

This initiative stems from agreements signed during the recently concluded Global Investors Meet—Invest Karnataka 2025. Emmvee, known for producing critical solar power components such as aluminium frames, glass, EPE, JB ribbon, and wafers, aims to enhance India’s renewable energy infrastructure.
The plant will contribute to sustainable development by promoting green energy production.
With this investment, Emmvee seeks to bolster domestic solar manufacturing and support India’s push towards clean energy. The project aligns with Karnataka’s vision of becoming a hub for renewable energy and advanced manufacturing.
