Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi was injured on the set of the Telugu action thriller Goodachari 2 during a high-intensity action sequence on Monday evening.

The incident occurred while Hashmi was filming in Hyderabad for the sequel to the popular 2018 spy thriller, which also stars Adivi Sesh. The 45-year-old actor sustained a serious cut below his right jaw, according to a statement from his PR team in Mumbai.

The film, directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, is part of a larger spy franchise and is expected to release in multiple languages. Goodachari 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, promising intense action and gripping narrative, with Hashmi’s involvement adding to the film’s star power.

Hashmi, known for his roles in Bollywood hits such as Murder, Zeher, Jannat, and The Dirty Picture, has built a notable career in the Indian film industry over the last two decades. His latest role in the Telugu film world marks a significant step into regional cinema.
