Gilli Nata emerges as Bigg Boss Season 12 winner, while Rakshita Shetty finishes as runner-up as the grand finale brings the popular reality show to a close.

The suspense surrounding the winner of Bigg Boss Season 12 has finally ended, bringing the much-watched reality show to a grand conclusion. Popularly known as the Gilli Nata, Nataraj has emerged as the winner, lifting the Bigg Boss trophy and claiming the top honour of the season. Rakshita Shetty, widely admired for her outspoken nature, finished as the runner-up.

With this, the curtain has come down on the 112-day-long season that revolved around personality, emotions, conflicts and entertainment. Bigg Boss Season 12 featured a total of 25 contestants who entered the Bigg Boss house, transforming it into a space filled with intense competition, emotional moments and strategic gameplay. Viewers closely followed the journey and ultimately decided the winner through their votes.

The official announcement of Gilli as the winner was made by host Kiccha Sudeep during the grand finale. Soon after the declaration, celebrations erupted across the state. Fans marked the victory by bursting crackers, organising special prayers, annadanam programmes, and running extensive voting campaigns using large flexes and banners in various regions.

Nataraj, fondly called Gilli, hails from a farming family in Dadapura village of Malavalli taluk in Mandya district. After completing his Class 10 education, he pursued a two-year ITI course. Known for his strong rural roots and unique speaking style, Gilli built his popularity by blending village humour with natural communication skills. His move from his village to Bengaluru opened doors to multiple reality shows, and Bigg Boss proved to be a major milestone in his career.

The finalists of Season 12 included Gilli Nata, Rakshita Shetty, Ashwini Gowda, Dhanush Gowda, Mutant Raghu and Kavya Shaiva. Nataraj’s victory also came with a cash prize of ₹50 lakh.

Rakshita Shetty, popularly known as the fast-talking and bold contestant, stood out for her straightforward attitude and emotional honesty. While she narrowly missed the title, she succeeded in winning the admiration of millions of viewers across Karnataka.

Bigg Boss Season 12 concludes as a successful season, having kept audiences engaged throughout its 112-day run, with viewers delivering their final verdict in favour of Gilli.
