Three days after Dharmendra’s demise, Hema Malini shares an emotional remembrance, reflecting on their life together and his enduring legacy.
In her first public note since the passing of legendary actor Dharmendra, veteran actor and parliamentarian Hema Malini has shared a deeply emotional remembrance of her husband. Dharmendra, one of Hindi cinema’s most loved stars, died on November 24 in Mumbai at the age of 89. His cremation was held on Monday in the presence of family members.

Hema Malini described him as the centre of her world, reflecting on the many roles he played in her life, from a dependable partner to a source of guidance and comfort. According to her post, he remained her strongest support system through every phase of life. She wrote that he was “everything” to her, expressing how their bond extended far beyond their public image.

She also recalled how Dharmendra shared warm ties with her entire family, effortlessly forming connections with those around him. Reflecting on his stature, Hema noted that his charm, simplicity, and mass appeal made him a unique personality in Indian cinema. She stated that his contribution to films and his long career have ensured a legacy that will continue to be celebrated for years. She also spoke of the profound void his absence has created, describing her personal loss as something that cannot be fully expressed.

Dharmendra, fondly known as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’, leaves behind a vast body of work and a family that includes Hema Malini, his first wife Prakash Kaur, and his six children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, Ajeeta, and Vijeta.
