Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has stormed the box office, crossing ₹100 crore in just two days and setting a new benchmark for Kannada cinema with record-breaking collections.
Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has unleashed a box office storm, rewriting records within days of its release. Hitting theatres on October 2, the film collected nearly ₹80 crore worldwide on its opening day. By the second day, it raced past ₹100 crore, becoming one of the fastest Kannada films to achieve the milestone.

Sacnilk data shows the film earned ₹61.85 crore on Day 1 alone, ₹18.5 crore from Kannada and ₹19.6 crore from Hindi markets. By Day 2 morning, the film had already added ₹43.65 crore more, pushing it comfortably into the ₹100 crore club. This is a massive leap compared to the 2022 Kantara, which had started with just ₹1.95 crore on Day 1.
What makes this even more striking is the film’s pan-India and global appeal. While it dominates Karnataka, the Hindi version is doing exceptionally well in North India. The Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam releases are also pulling in strong numbers, with most shows running houseful. Overseas bookings have only added to the frenzy, giving the film a global blockbuster edge.
