Just days after actor Nidhhi Agerwal’s harrowing experience at a city mall, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced a chaotic crowd situation during a public appearance in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills.
A video showing actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu struggling to move through an uncontrollable crowd in Hyderabad has gone viral, once again raising serious concerns over celebrity safety and crowd management at public events.
The incident took place on Sunday in Jubilee Hills, where Samantha had arrived for the inauguration of Sirimalle Sarees. As word spread about her presence, a large number of fans and onlookers gathered outside the venue, leading to an overwhelming situation within minutes.
Visuals circulating on social media show Samantha attempting to make her way out after the event. Despite the presence of private security personnel and police, the crowd reportedly breached the human barricade. Several men were seen pushing forward, trying to take selfies with the actor as she walked towards her car.

In the midst of the surge, security staff were forced to physically shield Samantha and escort her closely to prevent harm. After a tense few moments, she was safely guided into her vehicle. Throughout the ordeal, the actor appeared visibly uncomfortable but maintained her composure and continued to smile as she was escorted away.

The incident has drawn immediate comparisons to what actor Nidhhi Agerwal faced on December 17 at Lulu Mall. Nidhhi was attending a song launch event for the Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab when a massive crowd surrounded her. Reports at the time suggested manhandling and a near-stampede situation.
Following Nidhhi’s incident, Hyderabad police registered a suo motu case against the mall management and event organisers for failing to obtain proper permissions and for providing inadequate security arrangements.

With two such incidents occurring within days, social media platforms have been flooded with criticism over unruly fan behaviour, lack of civic sense, and poor planning by organisers. Many users questioned how crowd control lapses continue even after legal action was taken in the earlier case.
Several netizens also pointed fingers at event organisers, stating that Samantha’s massive popularity should have been enough reason to anticipate large crowds and arrange stronger security measures.
As of late Sunday night, neither Samantha nor her team has released an official statement regarding the incident or the apparent security lapse. The back-to-back episodes have reignited a broader debate on fan boundaries, celebrity worship, and accountability at public appearances.
