Shastri, Darshan's Kannada movie to be re-released

Even as Darshan spends time at Parappana Agrahara, as he has been remanded to judicial custody, one of his movies Shastri, released in 2005, will be re-released. 

A distributor by name Shankar has planned the move.

The story 

“Shastri” tells the gripping tale of a medical student named Shastri, whose life takes a dramatic turn, leading him into the underworld. Despite his descent into crime, Shastri emerges as a Good Samaritan Don, using his influence to help the poor and depressed. However, his benevolent actions make him enemies among the ruthless dons who seek vengeance.

The story takes a romantic twist with the introduction of Manya, an arrogant rich girl spurned by Shastri. Seeking revenge, Manya indirectly drives Shastri into the underworld, altering his life forever. Shastri makes attempts to turn his life around, but his efforts are thwarted by his past.

In a climactic confrontation, Shastri is stabbed by one of his adversaries during a fight. Despite the severe injury, he survives and eventually reunites with his lover, suggesting a glimmer of hope and redemption. “Shastri” is a tale of love, revenge, and the relentless pursuit of redemption amidst the chaos of the underworld.
