Shami has has turbulent times with first wife

Cricketer Mohammed Shami has had a phenomenal run in the ongoing World Cup. His contributions have helped Team India perform extraordinarily well in the tournament. 

And when it comes to his personal life, the bowler has received a marriage proposal from an actor called Payal Ghosh. She put on a post on X, confessing her love for the bowler. But it came with a certain condition. And that is Shami should improve his English!

The post spread like wildfire and everyone was intrigued to know who the actor is. Born in Kolkata in 1992, she graduated in political science from Scottish Church College. Apart from movies, she has also had a stint in politics when she joined Ramdas Athawale’s party as its vice-president. 

Shami got married to his first wife Hasin Jahan in 2014. They have a daughter. But the couple’s lives ran into rough weather as Shami faced allegations of domestic violence, inter alia. 

He also faces allegations of match-fixing. However, the charges are yet to be proved. 

At that point in time, he was going through a tough time, but somehow managed to extricate himself out of the trouble. He had attributed this fact to his family, which stood behind him like a rock during the tough times.
