The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc emerged victorious in 10 of the 13 constituencies across 7 states wherein bypoll election results were announced on July 13th. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were able to secure victories in 2 constituencies, 1 each in Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Both the seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Independent candidate Shankar Singh emerged victorious in the Rupauli constituency in Bihar over the Janata Dal (United) candidate Kaladhar Prasad Mandal and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Bima Bharti.

Leaders of the INDIA bloc used the result to indicate that trust among the public had reduced in the Modi 3.0 government. Apart from ensuring that NDA did not penetrate regions such as Punjab, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu which are considered to be strongholds of the INDIA bloc, the Indian National Congress (INC) emerged victorious in 4 of the 5 seats in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh that the BJP had swept in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Even the 2 seats which the BJP won were on a very narrow margin. “Every class including farmers, youth, labourers, businessmen and employed people want to completely destroy dictatorship and establish the rule of justice. The public is now completely standing with INDIA for the betterment of their lives and protection of the Constitution,” Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi stated on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter).
