Excitement builds as 'Stree 2' trailer to be unveiled on July 18

Fans of the horror-comedy genre are in for a treat as the much-anticipated trailer for "Stree 2," starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is set to release on July 18. Following the success of the original "Stree," the sequel promises to bring back the same blend of scares and laughs that made the first film a hit.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the trailer will be released this Thursday (July 18), providing a deeper look into the plot, which the teaser only hinted at.

The teaser for "Stree 2," which dropped on June 25, has already generated buzz. Rajkummar Rao shared it on Instagram, writing, "Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank! The legend returns this INDEPENDENCE DAY on 15th August! #Stree2 #SheIsBack #Stree2Teaser." The teaser features Rao and his co-stars performing rituals to ward off the ghostly Stree, hinting at the chaos to come as they declare, "Stree wapas aa gaye." Glimpses of Shraddha Kapoor and Tamannaah Bhatia add to the intrigue.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, "Stree 2" is part of a larger horror-comedy universe that includes "Roohi" and "Bhediya."

"Stree 2" is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024, coinciding with India's Independence Day. The film's production kicked off last July in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, the same town that served as the setting for the original film. Fans eagerly await this sequel, ready for another dose of chills and laughter.
