A well-organized gang from Rajasthan has been spotted running a high-end begging racket in the heart of Bengaluru, particularly targeting the upscale Brigade Road and MG Road areas. Their primary targets: affluent young men and women.

Working in small groups, the gang consists mainly of women accompanied by one or two children, often claiming to be homeless victims of a natural disaster from a village in Rajasthan. Armed with a neatly printed Xerox paper, they hand over a note to passersby detailing a heartbreaking story—destroyed homes, lost property, and a desperate plea for help.

The message reads, “We are helpless victims from Rajasthan. Our village has been devastated by a natural calamity. We believe you are kind-hearted and hope you will help us.”

In reality, these women are seen collecting ₹500 to ₹1000 from sympathetic individuals. Strikingly, after a morning of emotional appeals, they are later seen enjoying meals at posh fast-food joints like pizza and burgers and star hotels serving biryani.

The use of small children in this scam raises serious ethical and legal concerns. Authorities from the police and social welfare departments are urged to take immediate action against this exploitation and uncover the full extent of this well-planned begging operation that preys on public sympathy.
