Dr. Manjunath claims that after he exposed irregularities in the university's procurement of CCTV cameras, which allegedly resulted in a savings of Rs 25 lakh for the institution, he became the target of personal animosity. He asserts that this disclosure led to caste-based insults directed at him by Dr. Vanalli during a Syndicate meeting.

The complainant further alleges that during the meeting, Dr. Vanalli made inappropriate remarks about a female colleague. When Dr. Manjunath attempted to address the issue, he was subjected to caste-based slurs. He contends that his dignity was undermined, and he was made to feel socially marginalized within the academic community.

Dr. Manjunath emphasizes that his concerns were not addressed during the Syndicate meeting. Instead, he became the target of personal vendettas and caste-based discrimination. He describes the experience as a violation of his personal integrity and dignity.
