  • Congress is Karnataka is a divided house
  • Shivakumar unhappy over probable creation of Dy CM post

With the Lok Sabha elections just a few months away, the Karnataka Congress seems to be in a shambles. The chorus for the creation of three Dy CMs has created cracks in the grand old party, particularly Dy CM DK Shivakumar.

In this regard, Shivakumar has met AICC general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala and expressed his anguish and displeasure at the development. Sources tell NewsFirst Prime that he has even threatened to walk out of the government if such a prospect is to see the light of day.

Shocked at what has transpired, Surjewala, on his part, has pacified Shivakumar saying that he would talk to senior Congress leaders in New Delhi and take everyone into confidence before arriving at a suitable conclusion.

But now, it is learnt, he has asked Shivakumar to concentrate on the national polls.

Meeting held

A few days ago, a meeting was hosted by Satish Jarkiholi, PWD minister in relation to the demand of 3 DY CMs. It was attended by Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara, minister for social welfare HC Mahadevappa, minister for food KH Muniyappa, and minister for cooperation KN Rajanna.

Such a chorus has split the grand old party in the state, creating a needless controversy.
