Farhan Akhtar is set to make a dramatic return to cinema with his role as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati in the forthcoming film 120 Bahadur. This military action movie, helmed by director Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, draws inspiration from the historic Battle of Rezang La. The film marks Akhtar’s return to acting after a three-year break, following his last appearance in the 2021 film Toofaan.

Akhtar announced the project with a motion poster on Instagram, featuring the tagline, “Vo teen the… Aur hum? 120 Bahadur.” In his caption, he expressed his honour at portraying the story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. The battle, which occurred on November 18, 1962, during the Indo-China war, is renowned for the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers.

“We are grateful to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this incredible tale of valor to the screen,” Akhtar stated. “We embark today to make this film with all humility and utmost respect.”
The announcement has garnered enthusiastic responses from fellow celebrities. Ranveer Singh, Zoya Akhtar, and Pulkit Samrat celebrated the news with a flurry of emojis on social media. Additionally, Farhan Akhtar is also working on Don 3, directed by himself, featuring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani.
