Faridabad: Thief falls asleep in the car he wanted to steal, arrested; drugs recovered

In an unusual turn of events in Faridabad, a robbery attempt took an unexpected twist when the accused fell asleep inside the vehicle he allegedly wanted to steal.

The incident came to light on Wednesday morning when the owner of the vehicle - an Eeco van - saw him in the car as he returned to the parked vehicle.

As per reports, it is stated that upon his routine cleaning check, the owner found an unfamiliar individual dozing inside the van, with evidence of a broken driver's side lock. 

It appears the would-be thief succumbed to intoxication and fell asleep during the attempted robbery. Further complicating matters, police discovered drugs in the suspect's possession.

The van's owner stated that the accused had damaged both the door lock and gear lock during the botched theft. Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to determine the full extent of the incident and bring the perpetrator to justice.
