An FIR has been registered against 15 individuals in connection with the assault on Abdul Rahiman in Bantwal. The case was filed at the Bantwal Rural Police Station based on a complaint by Mohammad Nisar, following a statement from the injured Kalander Shafi.

According to the report, Rahiman and Shafi were unloading sand near a house in Ira Kodi, Kuriyala village, when they were suddenly attacked. The assailants, allegedly led by Deepak and Sumith, were known to the victims. The attackers reportedly dragged Rahiman from the pickup truck and assaulted him with swords, knives, and iron rods. The suddenness and brutality of the attack caused panic in the area.
As per Shafi, the attackers fled the scene with their weapons when people nearby began shouting. He identified two of the assailants as acquaintances. Abdul Rahiman sustained serious injuries and was being rushed to the hospital when Shafi gave his statement.
The police have filed a case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 103 (attempt to murder) and Section 109 (abetment). Investigations are underway, and police are searching for the accused, who are currently absconding.
