The drive aims to curb the misuse of high beam headlights, wrong direction driving, unauthorized driving on footpaths, and the use of defective number plates.

A stringent measure will be enforced particularly on the Bengaluru-Mysore highway, where driving on the wrong side will lead to severe consequences. Alok Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police for Traffic and Road Safety in Bengaluru, emphasized the seriousness of this offense in a recent tweet. He stated that violators would face the registration of First Information Reports (FIR) and immediate impoundment of their driving licenses.
The campaign reflects the state’s unwavering commitment to reducing traffic-related incidents and promoting safer driving habits among motorists. Authorities are expected to deploy additional resources and personnel to ensure the effectiveness of the initiative.
