As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prepare to battle Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final tomorrow, fans across Karnataka are brimming with excitement. One ardent supporter from Mysuru has taken his devotion a step further, promising a festive “obbattu meal (a traditional sweet bread made from jaggery and toor dal)” for all if RCB lifts the trophy.

Basavaraja Basappa, a die-hard RCB fan from the city, has already celebrated the team’s entry into the finals by symbolically distributing free obbattu meals at the Indira Canteen near Gun House Circle. His gesture comes a day ahead of the high-voltage final match.
“If RCB wins tomorrow, free obbattu meals will be served at all 16 Indira Canteens across Mysuru,” Basappa announced. He has also appealed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and local authorities to support the initiative and extend it across the state.
The celebratory "obbattu meal" is envisioned as a sweet way to share the joy of RCB’s long-awaited triumph—after 18 years of trying. Fans are hopeful this will mark the team’s maiden IPL victory.
RCB supporters, led by Basappa, have urged all Indira Canteens in Karnataka to join the celebration by offering similar meals if the team wins. “Let every fan taste the sweetness of this victory,” he said, expressing the collective anticipation and pride of RCB loyalists.
