Tejasvi Surya, BJP MP, Bengaluru South has issued highlights of the works carried out by him in the last five years in his constituency. Here is a bird’s eye view: 

Healthcare: 

During the Covid-19 pandemic, 

  1. A team of 150+ volunteers were set up to attend to citizen’s emergency requirements.
  2. Available 24/7 to provide delivery of groceries, medicines and free cab rides to hospitals
  3. Volunteers worked on ensuring Bengaluru’s frontline Corona warriors consisting of doctors, ASHA workers & Pourakarmikas perform their duties safely with sufficient PPEs.

A homeline whatsapp bot and support to corona warriors was also given:

For Bengaluru

A total of 1,30,000+ lakh crores worth infrastructure projects sanctioned to Bengaluru. 

Notable among them are Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP), sanctioning of electric buses for BMTC.

  1. Setting-up of National Investigation Agency (NIA)
  2. US Consulate in Bengaluru 
  3. Request for bank exams in Kannada 
  4. 50% HRA tax exemption for Bengaluru

MPLADS

The highlights note that The Local Area Development Funds (MPLADS) have been efficiently utilised for the benefit of the constituency, with the central focus of spending on school education and public health.

Total MPLAD Funds utilised from 2019-2024: Rs 18,61,54,000/-
