In a late-night joint operation, officials from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and the Central Crime Branch (CCB) launched a surprise crackdown on two prominent pubs in Bengaluru, targeting alleged drug activity involving foreign nationals.

The operation was carried out at Mirage Pub on MG Road and Sunburn Pub in Koramangala, both known for hosting high-energy techno and EDM parties. Acting on intelligence inputs, officials detained a foreign DJ from Mirage and another individual at Sunburn Pub who is suspected to be a drug peddler. Authorities believe the arrested persons were actively supplying narcotic substances during late-night events.

Prior to the raids, FRRO had reportedly gathered data indicating overstayed visas and suspicious movements involving certain foreigners. This intel led to the coordinated raids, during which substances believed to be illegal drugs were seized. The detainees are now being investigated for violations under the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act, with the possibility of deportation being explored.

Separate cases have been filed at the Cubbon Park and Koramangala police stations. The police suspect that the accused were part of a wider network catering to drug demands at exclusive parties, often disguised as event performers or patrons to avoid suspicion.
