Dodda Ganapati temple, Basavanagudi
In Kannada, Basavanagudi means Bull temple. Located in a very serene atmosphere of Basavanagudi, this temple sees thousands and thousands of devotees visiting it annually. The idol of Lord Ganesha is literally huge. It measures 18 feet in length and 16 feet in width. On the day of the festival, the deity is decorated with butter. Locals refer to this temple as Dodda Ganapati temple.

Prasanna Ganapati temple, Koramangala
Built in 1979, this temple, located in Koramangala is one of the oldest Ganapati temples in the city. It is also nicknamed ‘techie ganapati’ as several software engineers visit it. What’s interesting is that these software engineers take unique vows so that their prayers are answered.

Panchamukhi temple, Mysore Road
One of the most famous and popular Ganesha temples in Bengaluru is the Panchamukhi Ganesha temple. The Ganesha temple here has five faces and that is the uniqueness of it. Mahaganapati temple, Accident Ganesha/Traffic Ganesha
Whenever you purchase a vehicle, you can pay a visit to this temple on Kasturba Road. This temple is 600 years old. It is said Kempegowda used to pay visits to this temple. It is also said Chamaraja Wodeyar used to visit this temple in his new and luxury cars.

Powerful Ganesha, Jayanagar
Located in Jayanagar, this temple is visited by those who wish to get promotions in their profession. It is said that those who visit this temple and pray fervently, will become rich.

Penta Ganesha, Hanumanthanagar
The Ganesha temple here is five-faced. This form of Ganesha is considered to be one of the 32 avatars of Lord Ganesha. Here, the vehicle of Lord Ganesha is a lion. It also has 10-inch lamps with 5 steps leading to the shrine.

108 Ganesha temple, Kumaraswamy Layout

The specialty of this temple is that it has as many as 108 identical idols of Lord Ganesha here. A special worship of the deity is conducted here during the Ganesha festival.

Balamuri Ganesha temple, Tilak Nagar
A balamuri Ganesha idol is one in which the trunk is turned rightwards. The significance of such a Ganesha idol is that it exemplifies knowledge. Also, such an image is called Dakshina Murthy. It is believed that by worshipping the idol, one becomes very divine.
