Currently active in cities like Cincinnati and Greenville in the U.S., Johannesburg in South Africa, Staffordshire in the U.K., and Warsaw in Poland, Next Engineers prepares students from middle school to college through mentorship, hands-on learning, and career guidance. The expansion to Bengaluru aligns with the city’s prominence in engineering and innovation.
GE Aerospace in India has been driving technological advancements for over 25 years. This initiative will strengthen GE’s engagement with students and inspire more young minds to explore engineering.
Bengaluru was chosen due to GE Aerospace’s strong presence in the city, its advanced manufacturing and engineering capabilities, and its history of supporting STEM education locally. The company plans to partner with an academic institution, with details to be announced later this year.
GE Aerospace Foundation President Meghan Thurlow reportedly emphasized the program’s impact, noting that nearly 22,000 students worldwide have benefited so far. With a $20 million global commitment through 2030, the initiative supports engineering education and workforce development while reinforcing GE Aerospace’s mission to uplift communities.
